Luiz Suarez's audacious goal

Luiz Suarez's audacious goal
Check out Liverpool's Luiz Suarez's amazing goal against Norwich yesterday. It was an audacious chip from all of 50 yards-just after the centre half line! Great goal! It completed his hat-trick in the game-which Liverpool won 3-nil. Suarez had been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons this season! but no one doubts his ability. I know Kop fans will hope he produces more of this performance in future

Real Madrid 2-Bayern 1( Bayern win 3-1 on Pen.)Highlights

Real Madrid 2-Bayern 1( Bayern win 3-1 on Pen.)Highlights
So it won't be an all Spanish Champions League final afterall! Indeed, there won't even be a Spanish team in the final-as Real Madrid lost on penalties to Bayern Munich (1-3)
The game had ended 2-1 in favour of the Spanish club but after 120 minutes of hostilities, the sides couldn't be separated. Hence penalties were required.
Ronaldo, Kaka and Sergio Ramos all missed their kicks for the Spanish, while Toni Kroos and Phillip Lahm missed for the Bavarians. Some really poor penalty kicks were seen yesterday-the pick being Sergio Ramos' effort! The Bavarians (Bayern) will now meet the Blues (Chelsea) on home soil (The Allianz Arena) in the final of the competition, on  May 19

Barcelona 2-Chelsea 2( 2-3, agg)-the highlights

If you're a Chelsea fan you don't want to miss seeing these highlights. Absolutely fabulous!
Chelsea qualifies for the UEFA Champions league final  for only the second time in its history. This in a  largely forgettable domestic league campaign -which sees them struggling to make a Champions league spot next year. The stuff of fairy tales!! Maybe they will win it to complete the fairy tale . Chelsea will meet the winner of today's other semi final second leg between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium in Madrid.

O. Marseille's greatest moment-Munich '93

O. Marseille's greatest moment-Munich '93
The final of this year's Champion's League will hold at the Olympic stadium Munich, Germany. This was the venue of  French club, Olympique Marseille's greatest moment in football in 1993. Against all odds, a headed goal by defender, Basile Boli, was enough to secure victory over the more fancied AC Milan that year. Perhaps Munich will host another tale of an underdog triumph this year ( ? Chelsea!)

Radamel Falcao's brilliant goal

Radamel Falcao's brilliant goal
Check out Radamel Falcao's brilliant second goal in Athletico Madrid's 4-2 victory over Valencia yesterday (first leg, semi final, Europa Cup) This was his 10th goal in the competition. I don't think he'll still be an Athletico Madrid player next season. This Colombian sure knows where the goal is!

American Reunion-worth watching

American Reunion-worth watching
Finally saw this comedy yesterday. I'd say it won't win any award but worth watching if you love the American Pie series. The guys are now adults, but their ages are the only things that have changed. Stifler is still an assh*le, Jim is still as geeky and funny as ever and 'Oz' is still cute-and Noah (Jim's Dad)...oh, don't even get me started on his comedic genius! It won't win the Oscars but a good way to spend a weekend evening in my opinion.

Egypt 3- Nigeria 2 -highlights

Egypt 3- Nigeria 2 -highlights
Watch the highlights of the friendly match between Egypt and Nigeria played on 12th of April, 2012 in Dubai. From some sources, the Nigerian team gave a good account of themselves but defensive naivety cost them the match deep in added time.
They lost 2-3 (S. Mba 12', A. Temsah 26', M. Abou-Treika 33', U. Kalu 43', A. Mekki 95')
The Nigerians had taken the lead and fought back to equalise 2-2 at various stages in the game. The Nigerian team coached by Stephen Keshi should be encouraged as the general feeling is that there are some talented players in that team

Wigan's Shaun Maloney's delightful winner

Wigan's Shaun Maloney's  delightful winner
Wigan 1 -Manchester United 0! Not many would have envisaged that at the start of hostilities yesterday. But again, not many will begrudge Wigan this victory. The only goal- a delightful curler by Shaun Maloney past a diving David De Gea in the United goal. Great goal. It was an inspired performance by Wigan while Man. Utd were sub par. Wigan are definitely fighting for their Premiership lives. United will have to work harder to bag their 20th title -it is still their's to lose

David Trezeguet-great goal

David Trezeguet-great goal
Didn't know that former France's striker, David Trezeguet, plies his trade now for Argentine side River Plate. Apparently, he grew up in Buenos Aires and has always been a fan of the popular club side-which was relegated to the Argentine second division last year. He has scored an impressive 7 goals in 9 matches since joining at the beginning of the year.
Check out his beautiful volleyed goal in the match aginst Ferro Carril Oeste. Great goal!

Jennifer Lopez-Dance Again
Check out J Lo's new song, featuring Pitbull, Dance Again. Two noteworthy lines in the lyrics- ''only got just one life this I've learned.Who cares what they're going to say''-largely defines J. Lo's life. I can relate to this to some extent too.
I don't know the secret of success, but the secret of failure is trying to please everybody! Go Girl! sunglasses smiley

Great goal-Papiss Cisse's exquisite finish

Great goal-Papiss Cisse's exquisite finish
To every Newcastle fan, new signing-Papiss Cisse- must be the truth!
With an impressive 9 goals in 8 games for The Magpies, they have a right to believe that they can qualify for the Champions league next season. (They are currently in 4th position) His partnership with Demba Ba upfront must be a nightmare for defenders. Cisse scored a brace again yesterday against Swansea. Check out his second goal- a well-taken effort. He's proving to be the real deal

The Vow-Nice romantic drama

The Vow-Nice romantic drama
Just saw The Vow starring-Rachel McAdam and Channing Tatum. Brilliant romantic drama. The opening scene was awesome and the wedding scene was hilarious.  One of the quotes in  that scene is quite memorable-''To speak when words are needed, to share the silence when they are not''  Word!
The flick got a bit cheesy later on, in my opinion. But it's still a decent flick. Worth watching. It was actually based on a true life story

Adel Taarabt's beautiful goal against Arsenal

Adel Taarabt's beautiful goal against Arsenal
Check out QPR's Adel Taarabt's beautiful goal vs Arsenal. The League 1 Footballer of the year( 2011) has not really lived up to that billing in the top flight. However, this ( his first goal) was a 'tidy' effort. Did Referee Mike Dean celebrate this goal!? Watch the replay and make up your minds!! laughing smiley
NB-Sorry folks, the video has been removed from the original site. I couldn't find another one online! Spoilsports!! sad smiley
