Halle Berry's 'Frankie & Alice'

Halle Berry's 'Frankie & Alice'

2010 Canadian drama inspired by the remarkable true story of an African American go-go dancer "Frankie" Frankie Murdoch ( Halle Berry) who struggles to maintain her identity after finding out that she suffers from multiple personality disorder. She fights against two very unique alter egos: a seven-year-old child named Genius and a Caucasian bigot Southern woman named Alice.

Frankie works together with a psychotherapist to manage this psychiatric illness

It had a limited release in the United States on December 10, 2010 to qualify for awards. Halle Berry actually got a Golden Globes nomination in 2011 for it

Incredibly, it's planned theatrical release in the US fell through until now. You'd think this might not be the case if Halle Berry were white- considering that it got a positive review from critics and got Halle a Globe nomination. Although the actress has had a few stinkers since her Oscar- winning turn in Monster's Ball.

The film is scheduled for a wide theatrical release on April 4, 2014.
