Taye Taiwo-moving to QPR
AC Milan defender, Taye Taiwo will soon be a Queen Park Rangers (QPR) player-as the English club has just agreed a deal for the player. Personal terms still need to be agreed on, though. His time with the Rossoneri's was largely frustrating and must have been a personal nightmare-he has only featured 8 times for Milan since his move from Marseille in May 2011. He had big boots (Paolo Maldini's) to fill and he was felt to have failed. Maldini himself had this to say of Taiwo:

“It
says a lot when a player is a Nigerian, they are very talented and technical.
Real Madrid also wanted him, so, we thought we were landing the man we need.
But, I don't think Taiwo was watched over and over again. Milan did not do
their homework well on him.
He is not a worthy successor to me . He should have been better evaluated before taking him,” he quipped, adding; “Most left-backs now are converted midfielders, much more likely to attack. The rule is: If you cannot get back, you must not go forward. The current best specialist is Marcelo, who gets it right in both areas.”
