Who’s going to stop the rot at Chelsea?  Played 12 and lost 4 already!!  I can’t believe what is happening to my beloved Chelsea. Losing at Stamford Bridge used to be a rarity, losing two consecutive games at home is almost sacrilegious!! –to make matters worse, these losses were to ‘top four’ teams!!   We’ve totally lost bragging rights this early in the season :( If Abramovich knows what’s good for him, he should let the Manager do a complete overhaul of this team-too many players are past it!  Chelsea, right now, you embarrass me, you embarrass yourself!

Zizou opened his body slightly, to receive a high arcing cross from Roberto Carlos on the edge of the penalty area, and hit the ball with a delightful left-footed volley into the top corner of Hans Jorg Butt's (Bayer's keeper)goal. Butt had no chance!

It was one of the highlights of this 3-time world footballer of the year and master of the la roulette's(Google that!) glittering career. Exceptional player, great goal!!

Arguably the greatest goal in the final of a major Championship. Van Basten had drifted wide for the cross, had to keep his eyes on the ball; but was still able to produce a shot precise enough to beat Rinat Dasayev (one of the best  goalkeepers in the world at the time!). All these from an impossible angle!. A few geometry laws must have been broken in that singular act!. The astonishment on Rinus Michels' face says it all! 

Great goal!!

Germany-is there a better national team around at the moment? 
Watching the Germans literally put Holland to the sword, a few days ago, was a thing of pure joy!
At times they made it ridiculously easy :) Now this was not just a flash in the pan performance. Football afficionados remember only too well how they completely outplayed Brazil three months ago. These Germans are good!! B-)
I don't think there is a better national team around at the moment-I make this bold statement without any qualms!!  :) You'll be very brave not to tip them for the top prize at Euro 2012!
